From September 19 to 23, 2022, a curriculum development workshop in the field of entrepreneurship was held at the University of Dubrovnik for scholars partner institutions of the ELEGANT project. During the five-day workshop, scientists from three Jordanian and two Lebanese IT universities, under the mentorship of scientists from the Department of Economics and Business of the University of Dubrovnik, worked on the development of a curriculum in the field of entrepreneurship with an emphasis on the topics of digital entrepreneurship, managerial economics, human resource management and business communication. The outcome of the workshop is the entrepreneurship course curriculum adapted to needs of IT studies, which will be offered to the management of partner IT universities in Jordan and Lebanon for adoption and implementation in the teaching process.

Elegant is an international project that brings together a consortium of eleven partners from Croatia, Italy, United Kingdom, Portugal, Jordan and Lebanon under the coordination of the CREDO research centre of the University of Dubrovnik. The goal of the project is to improve the employability of IT students in Jordan and Lebanon through the university-industry collaboration in the modernization of existing and the development of new teaching content focused on economic and horizontal skills. The project was financed through the Erasmus+ Capacity Building in Higher Education (CBHE) programme.
