Academic and technical staff from partner universities in Vietnam and Laos returned to the University of Dubrovnik (UNIDU) from 23 to 26 June for a second edition of the MICRO4ASIA technical training on microcredential development. This session was a follow-up to the original March workshop, with the agenda unchanged to ensure that all partner institutions received the same hands-on training in developing micro-credential courses in online and hybrid formats.<\/p>\n

Proceedings opened at the University\u2019s Rectorate before the group moved into the UNIDU TV studio for a guided tour of the facility led by producer Ante Tolja. Visiting staff also reviewed images of the audiovisual equipment, including cameras, lighting rigs and sound systems, that their own institutions had purchased through the project, setting the stage for the technical work ahead.<\/p>\n

The following days were built around real footage. Teaching assistants Ivana Hladilo and Ivana Grke\u0161 To\u0161ovi\u0107 screened a microcredential video edited entirely with the project\u2019s equipment, prompting a group discussion before participants split into two teams to plan their own filming. Ante Tolja then walked the group through the production pipeline, from camera placement, lighting and microphone setup to the editing choices that shaped the final cut. Each team subsequently took turns in front of and behind the camera, recording three-minute presentations about their topic of choosing before reviewing the raw footage together.<\/p>\n

The training closed at the Faculty of Economics and Business, where participants shared reflections on what they had learned before Prof. Barbara Puh and Prof. Ivana Pavlic introduced the AXON Research Centre. The visit gave the group a look at the centre\u2019s work in behavioural science and neuromarketing and the equipment used to study consumer behaviour and decision-making, rounding off a week focused as much on storytelling on camera as on the technology behind it.<\/p>\n

This second edition completes a key milestone of the MICRO4ASIA project (Deliverable 2.3), which supports universities in Vietnam and Laos in designing and implementing micro-credential programmes aligned with European standards.
