Developed through Work Package 3 (WP3) and building on the evidence collected in the needs assessment under WP2, the curriculum represents a complete and practice-oriented pathway for MSMEs and VET professionals to strengthen their digital readiness and leadership in the AI era.

This achievement marks a decisive step in making AI accessible, ethical, and actionable for Europe’s small business ecosystem.

The final AIM curriculum consists of seven modules and twenty-one learning units, each addressing a specific dimension of AI adoption in business. The curriculum offers a progressive learning path — from understanding foundational concepts to implementing, managing, and evaluating AI solutions in real business environments.

Each module combines conceptual grounding with applied learning, practical exercises, and ethical reflection, ensuring that participants can translate AI knowledge into immediate value.

Module Overview

Module 1: AI Foundations & Regulatory Context
Unit 1.1: AI Fundamentals for Business
Unit 1.2: AI Regulations & Compliance
Unit 1.3: Ethical and Responsible AI Use

Module 2: AI for Operational Automation
Unit 2.1: Identifying Automation Opportunities
Unit 2.2: Implementing Basic Task Automation
Unit 2.3: AI in Quality Control & Process Optimization

Module 3: AI for Business Communication & Marketing
Unit 3.1: AI for Business Communication
Unit 3.2: AI-Powered Marketing Strategies
Unit 3.3: The Future of AI in Business Communication & Marketing

Module 4: AI for Customer Engagement & Personalization
Unit 4.1: AI in Customer Service & Support
Unit 4.2: AI for Customer Loyalty & Personalization
Unit 4.3: Reflection & Exchange on AI in Customer Engagement

Module 5: AI for Productivity & Workforce Management
Unit 5.1: AI as a Digital Assistant
Unit 5.2: Smarter Task and Team Management
Unit 5.3: Helping with Decision-Making

Module 6: AI for Data Analysis & Predictive Insights
Unit 6.1: AI for Data Analysis Fundamentals
Unit 6.2: AI for Business Prediction & Trends
Unit 6.3: Industry Application

Module 7: Responsible AI & Strategic Implementation
Unit 7.1: Measuring Value and ROI
Unit 7.2: Balancing Risks and Benefits
Unit 7.3: Future-Proofing and Scaling AI

The AIM Curriculum is designed in alignment with the EntreComp (Entrepreneurship Competence Framework) and the DigComp (Digital Competence Framework) of the European Commission.

This alignment ensures that the curriculum not only transfers technical knowledge but also develops the entrepreneurial mindset, digital confidence, and strategic thinking required for effective and responsible AI adoption.

All modules will be available through the AIM Digital Warehouse, the project’s multilingual open-access platform.
