It defines the essential components of a <strong>competence-based curriculum<\/strong> to support freelancers, aspiring entrepreneurs, and VET providers in adapting to digital and market transformations.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Executive Matrix<\/strong>, developed through collaboration among partners in <strong>Italy, Spain, Estonia, Croatia, and at EU level<\/strong>, pinpoints five core <strong>training areas of interest<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>1. Managing Projects<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Freelancers must combine creativity with structure. This area strengthens <strong>project planning, time management, and productivity<\/strong>, teaching how to set clear goals, manage resources, and deliver efficiently. Key competences include <strong>strategic foresight, responsibility, and efficiency<\/strong> \u2014 the foundation for professional reliability and client trust.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>2. Managing Your Image<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Self-employment begins with visibility. This area focuses on <strong>personal branding<\/strong>, <strong>portfolio creation<\/strong>, and the ability to communicate one\u2019s value authentically in a competitive marketplace. Learners explore how to design their <strong>professional offer<\/strong>, maintain credibility, and promote their services with <strong>authenticity, creativity, and self-awareness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>3. Managing Clients<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Freelancing thrives on relationships. This area covers <strong>communication, negotiation, and customer service<\/strong>, ensuring freelancers can manage client expectations, maintain satisfaction, and build long-term professional partnerships. The emphasis lies on <strong>empathy, reliability, and emotional intelligence<\/strong>, fostering lasting trust in professional interactions.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>4. Managing Finances<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Economic sustainability is key to freelance success. This area equips learners with the fundamentals of <strong>business planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting<\/strong>, helping them set realistic goals and manage cash flow. It also fosters <strong>prudence, perseverance, and strategic thinking<\/strong> \u2014 crucial attitudes for navigating uncertainty and long-term growth.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>5. Managing Yourself<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At the core of freelancing lies personal balance. This area helps professionals develop a <strong>freelancer mindset<\/strong>, strengthen <strong>self-efficacy<\/strong>, and master <strong>stress management and self-care<\/strong>. Beyond skills, it encourages <strong>resilience, adaptability, and commitment to personal well-being<\/strong> \u2014 essential traits for thriving independently in the digital era.<\/p>\n<p>Each area is built on a holistic triad of <strong>knowledge, skills, and mindset<\/strong>, supported by <strong>shared European values<\/strong> such as responsibility, authenticity, creativity, reliability, prudence, and self-maintenance.
