On 13 June 2025, the project partners of the Erasmus+ project NICE – Innovative Operational Tools for the Competitiveness of Microenterprises and Employee Wellbeing gathered in Pescara, Italy for the second Transnational Project Meeting (TPM2). The meeting was hosted by IDP and marked an important milestone in the project’s implementation – the completion, review, and formal validation of two key outputs of Work Package 2 (WP2): the Executive Summary and the Consolidated Operational Matrix.

These two documents summarise the research activities, country-level analyses, and transnational findings developed during WP2. They provide a structured overview of innovative business practices, competencies, and training needs aimed at supporting the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) and employee wellbeing in the post-pandemic context. The Executive Summary presents the transnational findings and shared challenges, while the Matrix establishes dynamic interconnections between the key competencies identified in WP2 and the six operational areas foreseen in WP3 for training development.

During the meeting, partners also aligned on upcoming activities within WP3, including the curriculum structure and the evaluation framework. The meeting concluded with sessions on quality assurance, dissemination tools, and monitoring, presented by IDP and XLR8. In addition, a round table discussion was held on two horizontal and cross-cutting project priorities: the integration of green practices into operational settings and the incorporation of DEI principles (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion). These topics were explored through interactive presentations and a round table moderated by UNIDU.
